New York

From Philadelphia, we headed to New York. We stayed just across the border in New Jersey. Our hotel was right next to the Subway. So we just parked the car and rode the Subway in. The first night there we stayed on the New Jersey side but went down to a park and got to see the Statue of Liberty and the New York skyline. We also got to see and catch lightning bugs. It was so much magical.

Then next day we crossed over and went to New York. We took the ferry out to the statue of liberty. Rook had been learning about the Statue of Liberty at school and was so excited to see it. We got to go up in the pedestal of it and it was really cool.

When we got off the ferry to the Statue of Liberty there was a guy there with this snake.

We also went to Wall Street

We also went to Ellis Island. I loved learning about the history there.

Then we made it to the 911 Memorial

Then Emmy wanted to go to Columbia University and Manhattan School of Music so her and I made a sketchy subway ride down there while everyone else went back to the hotel.

When we got back we found a fun little concert in a park to go to. We also made it to Times Square. None of us loved Times Square. The smell of pot was so strong. We also stopped by Radio City Music Hall and the NBC Studio.

Overall we had a great time in New York City, by way of New Jersey!
