24th

Mom's family had their reunion in conjunction with the 24th this year. Between that and the 24th celebration we had lots of fun cousin time.

Kirtland

When we got to Kirtland, the temple was closed so we didn't get to go inside it. But we looked around, explored the cemetery next to it and then went and saw the historic sites which are a short distance away including the Newel K. Whitney store, the Newel and Ann Whitney home and the sawmill. The school of the prophets was held in the upper room of the Newel K. Whitney store and there is a special spirit there.

Lake Erie

After leaving Niagara Falls we stopped on the shore of Lake Erie for a few minutes and enjoyed a beautiful sunset and skipping rocks.

Niagara Falls

From Palmyra, we headed to Niagara Falls. It was absolutely gorgeous. One of all of our favorite parts of the trip is getting to go out on the Maid of the Mist to the bottom of the falls.
