I "Mustache" you a question.
Today was mustache Monday at the kids school, so I painted them on some. I thought they turned out pretty cute.
Railway Museum
Saturday was national railway day so our local railway museum had free entrance day. We took the kids and they all thought it was pretty cool. They got to pull the horn on one engine and ring the bell on another. It was really interesting for all of us.
Field Trip Time
All 3 of my oldest kids had field trips last week. Emmy went to Butterfly Wonderland. I didn't get to go with her but another parent posted some pictures of the trip for me. She acted like they had such a wonderful time.
Alayna and Emmy.
TJ went to the IMAX theater. I didn't get to go with him either, but he acted like he had a lot of fun.
Addy got to go to Stuffington Bear Factory. I have been able to volunteer in Emmy and TJ's class this year but haven't gotten to do anything with Addy's so I was excited to get to spend some time with her. Before we left that morning she said she hoped they had white bears for them, and that was one of the color choices they had so she was excited.

I am a Child of God - Country style
Last Tuesday I went and saw Billy Dean at the Dutton theater with Wacey. I knew a few of the songs he sung and thought it would be a fun night out but I had no idea how much I would thoroughly enjoy the show. He was AMAZING!!!! There was no band with him, just him and his guitar. So you could really hear his voice and it was beautiful. And he just seemed like such a gracious person. The crowd wasn't very big, we were on the second row and every time people would start to clap when they recognized a song he would say thank you and then continue singing. After every song he would just get this huge smile on his face like that was his natural reaction to things and he was just a real likeable guy. For a couple of songs he brought out Marvin Goldstein, who is an LDS piano player. He told how him and Marvin were friends and Marvin had talked him into recording some LDS church hymns and then sang what he described as his favorite song, "I am a Child of God." It was beautiful. He also sang, "Let them be little" which was a good reminder to me about the perspective I need to keep with my kids. It was a wonderful enjoyable night with one of my favorite brothers.
