6th grade concert

Evie had the chance to go to Mesquite High school and play with some of the other 6th grade orchestras and learn from the junior high and high school instructors. She was glad to be able to play with more basses. She did a great job and we celebrated with Andy’s.

17!!!!

I can’t believe she’s 17! One more year and she will be an adult😳 When your birthday falls on fast Sunday it’s a pretty low key day but we did get up and open presents before 9 am church. She had requested steaks, mashed potatoes and stuffing for dinner. So Jamie grilled her steaks after church. Then she had quartet practice for solo and ensemble and then we celebrated with mini cheese cakes and ice cream. Emmy is so talented!!! She accomplishes anything she puts her mind to and I’m so excited to see what the future holds for her! Happy Birthday Emmy Lane! We love you!!!

Ice skating

Wednesday we went ice skating with the young women at an outdoor rink in Mesa. It was a little windy and cold and I was afraid we were going to be miserable but it ended up being lots of fun. The young women in our ward are so good to each other. It is a privilege to work with them. Emmy couldn’t go because she was at band. We missed her!
