Mesquite Groves Aquatic Center is always a favorite but going with cousins makes it even better!

Kindergarten Graduation

Evie's teacher had a little party on Tuesday to celebrate them graduating from Kindergarten. She also gave each of the kids an award. Evie got the "Heart of Gold" award. She does have a heart of gold. She has loved kindergarten and loved having Miss Elliot as a teacher.

Academic Night

These two kids were both Golden Scholars. In order to earn that distinction, they can only have one B in the first 3 quarters of the year. I was so proud of both of them and couldn't believe how much taller Emmy is than TJ. How long do you think before he outgrows her? Emmy and TJ are really good friends and I love watching them together.

Swim Team

School hasn't even finished yet but Addy and Evie had their first swim meet on Thursday. This is Evie's first year. She was really excited to try swim team but was so nervous for the first meet. But she did amazing!! They both won first.

Preschool Graduate

My baby graduated from preschool today. We have been doing a little co-op preschool with 2 other kids in our ward. We had graduation and a pool party today to celebrate. Rook has grown a lot this year and he is ready for school. He is bored to death here at home with me and will do great at school. He says he isn't going and that it scares him, but I know he will do great.

I love this cute boy. I am going to miss him like crazy next year but I am excited for the experiences he will have in school.

Happy Mother's Day!

I believe that we are all blessed beyond our comprehension. Some days we do a better job at recognizing those blessings. On days like today I am always drawn back to a father's blessing dad gave me. I believe it was before Jamie and I were even married. He blessed me that blessings would be poured out upon me that I wouldn't be able to believe. I have seen that manifested over and over again in my life for the last almost 14 years since I married Jamie. He is such an incredible man. My Heavenly Father knew exactly what I needed, even when I didn't and sent that to me in the form of Jamie and these 5 amazing kids and I will always be grateful for the blessing they are in my life.

While the teachers are away....

the kids will play! Our teachers are still on strike. So we took advantage of the day and went to the zoo with Lindsay and her kids. We met them there at 9. I was planning on staying until about noon and coming home so I took a few snacks but that was it. We ended up staying until about 4. The kids were so good and had so much fun. We looked at animals, and played in the splash pad. Then looked and more animals and played in a different splash pad. The weather was perfect. Warm enough to get in the water but cloud covered and cool enough to be perfect. It was an incredibly fun day.

 The birds loved our popcorn.
