THREE

Evie turned 3 on the 6th of November. She is such a firecracker. She still says pink when you ask her what color her hair is. She is starting to learn her letters and loves to read books. She loves her dad dearly. The other day I was getting her ready for church and she said, "I don't like church." When I asked her why she said, "because dad doesn't get to sit by us." I think his being in the bishopric has probably been harder on her than anyone. She is such a good sister to Rook. The other day she was sick and was laying on the ground. Rook started crying and she got up and went and got his blanket and took it to him. They are good friends and he follows her around everywhere. We had a week of partying with her. Wacey got her a new book and outfit which she opened a couple of days before her birthday.
Here she is waking up on her birthday. She still sucks on her tongue and uses it as a pacifier.
With her sisters.
Opening presents from mom and dad.
Her birthday cake. I don't know how many Barbie cakes I've made. It seems like a lot, but I finally feel like I am getting the hang of it.
Blowing out the candles and eating the cake.
A few days after her birthday we had a party with the Espersons. Here she is with the birthday cake she shared with Uncle Brian and Poppy.
Opening presents at Aunt Denise's house.
Happy Birthday Evie Conieve, We love you!!!!!

Halloween

We had a week of celebrating Halloween. The week before Halloween was our ward's trunk-or-treat. Wyatt and Dawn came over for the temple openhouse and decided to go to it with us. It was fun for the kids to get to dress up with their cousins. We had a tiger, Tinkerbell, a teenage mutant ninja turtle, and 2 peacocks.
For school, I looked on the web and got a little more creative with their face paint. I thought they turned out pretty cute.
On Halloween we had a fun dinner of quesadilla jack-o-lanterns, spiderwebs, and mummy drinks from aunt Jeanette. Then we went trick or treating around our neighborhood. It seemed like there weren't near as many kids out this year. It was a pretty mellow night but the kids had a good time. Evie decided she wanted to be Pippi Longstocking on Halloween instead of Tinkerbell.

The Zoo

Emmy class took a field trip to the Phoenix zoo. Since it is so close to Jamie's work, he decided he would take a couple of hours off of work and help chaperone. I ended up getting free passes from the library so me and the 2 little kids met them over there. We got to see a Badger for the first time and the kids loved all the animals.

Phoenix Temple

We got to take the kids through the openhouse of the Phoenix Temple before it was dedicated. It is much smaller than the Gilbert Temple, but it was beautiful. It has a lot of dark wood and I loved the oval shape to several of the rooms. It is really pretty. There isn't very much parking around the temple, so we had to park at Wet-n-Wild and then we we rode buses over to the temple. The kids thought that was really cool.

Mother Nature Farm

Addy had a field trip to Mother Nature Farm. I was bummed that I didn't get to go with her but one of the ladies that went sent me some pictures of her. They got to see animals, and go in a corn maze, and pick out a pumpkin. She acted like she had a lot of fun.
This is her and Elly, a girl from our ward. They are good friends.
