On Target

The third weekend of September the varsity scouts always have On Target. They go to the tops of mountains all over the state and signal each other using radios, and mirrors. Jamie and I helped haul boys and gear up to their camping spot this year. The spot they camped by Usury was beautiful. It had an amazing view of the city. There was a full moon and it was bright and not too hot. It was perfect. We were only up there a couple hours that night and then Jamie went back the next morning to help them with the actual activity. I think it went pretty good except for someone forgot to tell the police they were doing it and so someone saw their mirrors and thought there were hikers in distress and a police helicopter was dispatched. Oops.

I love this man I get to spend my life with.

Ward Campout

The ward campout was the weekend after Labor Day. Since we had just gone camping with my family the weekend before, we chose to stay at the cabin instead of camping. We went up early and took the kids on a hike to the bottom of clear creek. It was a pretty good hike. I still can't believe we took all the kids down there.

1st Day of School

The kids started school on the 3rd of August. TJ was a little nervous but after we finally got him there he was fine. They are all growing up so fast.

Evie started preschool the day after labor day. I am doing a coop preschool with 2 other moms. She was so excited to start. She is really ready for school.

Camping

We went camping up by Forest Lakes with my family over Labor Day. Wyatt, Shawn, Wacey and their families and my mom and dad came and then Cody's family came one afternoon. We had a good time. While we were up there, we took the kids to hike "Rocky Ridge" from our trek. They did so good. They just kept saying I can't believe you took handcarts over this. But they asked us a lot of questions and I think they had a fun time.
