Mount Baldy

A few months ago Wyatt came across this picture of me, him and Shawn on Mount Baldy when we were little kids and said let's recreate it. So we decided we were going to hike it the first day of our Hancock reunion. It was a pretty tough hike and I was struggling to breathe through part of it. I have become a flatlander. But we had a lot of fun and got to recreate our picture,

Skinned alive

Rook is having lots of new experiences and having fun with new friends every time we go to Taylor. Tommy has been teaching him taxidermy. When Tommy texted me to ask me if he would do it. He told me to tell him he had a ram to skin and Rook could come and help him - that he needed someone to hold it while he skinned it. Rook said (after thinking about it for about an hour) "it sounds disgusting but tell him I'll do it." Rook doesn't love it but Tommy pays him and he likes the money. I so appreciate all of my brothers trying to give my kids experiences they wouldn't otherwise have.

Car Show

Jamie put his car in the car show over the 24th. He added his McQueen eyes and it must have made the difference because he ended up winning the foreign car class and the fan favorite.

24th Run

Emmy talked Raylee into doing the 24th run with us and Stetson and Jeanette were already planning on it. Emmy didn't bring running shoes so she ran in her Converse and so by the end her feet were killing her but we had a good time.

Sherwood Family Reunion

Mom was in charge of her family reunion this year. We went back and forth whether we should have it with covid but finally decided we were going it. She asked me to be in charge of the games. We pulled out the bucking machine, had a money calf, keg races, rescue races, and gunny sack races. I thought it turned out really good. We had a few less people because of Covid but I think it actually made it more manageable and more fun. Everyone got involved and it turned out really good.

Addy's 11th Birthday

Addy got lots of clothes for her birthday. Then we went downtown for dinner and celebrated with pecan pie which is what she wanted. On Saturday she had a few of her friends over for a little swim party.
