Meet the Teacher Night

The kids were excited to meet their teachers. Evie has Mrs. Elliott, Addy has Mrs. Hughes, TJ has Mrs. Johnson, and Emmy has  Ms. Rey. Evie has been a little bit nervous to start school but her teacher was so nice and I think that helped.

Swim Championships

Last year we missed her championship swim meet because we were on trek and she won all 3 of her events. We knew this year would be harder because she was the youngest in her age group instead of the oldest. She signed up to race 3 tough events and had a rough prelims. Her goggles filled up with water during her first race and it shook her up pretty good. So I was a little worried about her championships tonight. But she came out and started out good and just kept getting stronger. She won 2nd in the freestyle, won 9th in the butterfly and 8th in the IM, but she came from behind to win her heat. She was dead tired but told me afterwards, I just told myself that no one else was going to beat me. She has so much heart and I was super proud of her tonight.

Mesquite Groves Aquatic Center

Emmy has been begging to go to the water park. We went a couple months ago when her leg was hurt so she couldn't get in the water and then we went a couple of weeks ago with Tommy and his family when she was staying with my parents so she hadn't got to go this year so I decided to take them today. They always have so much fun there.
Evie's big news from today was she got brave enough to ride in her own tube on the lazy river and she loved it.

Addy's Baptism

Addy got to be baptized on her birthday. It was a beautiful baptism. I hope that I always remember the spirit I felt there. Addy was touched by it too. When she came out of  the water she was just sobbing. When I asked her if they were happy tears she said yes. She said she felt the spirit. It was so strong. Her and Emmy and TJ played I am a Child of God. Addy was on the piano, Emmy on the violin, and TJ on the guitar. They all did a great job.
Allyson, Addy, Ivy, and Ellie
Both of her grandmas gave talks and her grandpas prayed. She is one lucky girl.
Uncle Tommy made her this scripture case.
There were multiple people who commented on her smile today. Addy is so quick to smile and I love that about her. She is such a happy kid and such a cute girl. We are so proud of the decision she made to be baptized and I can't wait to see what her future holds. We love you Mae Mae!!!
