Evie vs Boy

Now that we know it is a girl, we have been trying to decide on a name. Jamie really likes the name Evie. So we have talked a little bit about that. So this is how the conversation went at our house this morning.

Emmy: "I like calling her Evie."
T.J. "I don't."
Me: "What do you want to call her?"
T.J. "I want to call her a boy."

Happy Father's Day!!!

I think there are times in each of our lives, at least if we are lucky, when we feel like we are blessed more than we deserve. Being married to Jamie, is one of those things for me. He is the most incredible guy I have ever met and I am so glad that he is my eternal companion and the father of my kids. For father's day the kids all made him these candy ties. We also got him a new book, the latest season of Burn Notice on DVD which is his favorite and a jump starter that he wanted to use with his Ham Radio.

They also each gave him a card and I wrote in them what each of them said they like to do with their dad. Addy said she liked to go swimming. T.J. said go camping, dancing, and swinging. Emmy said play outside and kiss him.

But I think the favorite part of his day was the food. Jamie LOVES brisket. It is something that his mom made for them. I had never made it. But I emailed his mom and found out how she made it and Jamie made it for dinner tonight. He was in heaven.

Pizza, Pool Fun, and Papertowel Butterflies....

I have definitely had a lack of patience with the kids lately. I am not the most patient person anyway, and being pregnant doesn't help. So yesterday we tried to do some fun things with the kids. We made homemade pizza, swam in the pool, and made butterflies out of paper towels.

Maybe She's Born With It.....

This is what I found when I got out of the shower this morning. Addy had gotten into my mascara. The funny thing is that she didn't have it anywhere on her except for her eyes. Whoever thinks kids don't learn by example is crazy.

Varsity Scout High Adventure

Last week Jamie went on the varsity scout high adventure with his teachers. They were supposed to go up by Mt. Baldy but the fire got in their way so they ended up going to Dogwood Reservoir near Williams. He said they had one goal and that was to bring all the boys back alive, so I guess it was a successful trip. They hiked Mt. Humphreys and road bikes and fished and played horseshoes. I think they had a good time.

Cars

Last night Tempe Marketplace had full size replicas of Mater, Lightning McQueen, and one of the new cars from Cars 2. So we took the kids to see them. The line was SOOOO long, but I think it was worth it in the long run.

Phoenix Children's Museum

I have been wanting to take the kids to the Children's Museum and the first Friday evening of every month is free so we decided to take them Friday. I would definitely not recommend going on the first Friday, it was absolutely crazy! But I would definitely recommend going. The kids absolutely loved it.

Addy's favorite part was definitely the noodle forest. I think she could have played in there all day.
