5 Months Old...

Where does the time fly? I was sitting on the floor today and I looked over at him and he was crawling military style. I didn't even know he could do that. I feel like I am missing so many of the little things and I am home with them all day, every day. How is that possible?

These Boots are Made for Walkin'.....

Addy started preschool today. We are doing a co-op preschool. There are 2 boys and then her. She has been counting down the days for the last week. She was really excited to go. She acted like she had a really good time and I am excited for her to get to do something that she can enjoy and will help her get ready for kindergarten.

Just Life...

It's been a crazy couple weeks with the start of school, but I think we are about to get back to normal. Stuff like mowing the lawn,

Choosing to spend hours at the table, instead of eating the ONE bite of potatoes - which she did eventually eat. She just needed a nap first I guess.

and passing another level of swim school.

Date Night...

Since we had taken Emmy and TJ on a date when they had their meet the teacher night, we decided it was time to take Addy. She chose to eat at McDonald's and then we went and got her a new outfit and then we went to Cold Stone for ice cream.  Any time with Addy is a good time and we had lots of fun with her.

The First Day...

Last Tuesday night Jamie gave each of the kids a blessing before starting school and we had good luck rice krispies. Then Wednesday, the 7th was the first day of school. It was a little bit crazy having 2 kids in 2 different schools that started at different times when they are only a year apart but I think we did okay.

TJ getting on the bus. I let him ride the bus and then followed him to school to make sure he made it okay.

TJ was so ready for school. He has been needing it and he LOVES it. He comes home every day and is just so excited. When he got home the second day I asked him if it was as good as the first day and he said, "Better!" He is doing so good.
I put Emmy on the bus and then Jamie met her at her school. My little camera is giving me troubles so these pictures are a little blurry.

Emmy is doing good but acts like all day is a little long for her. She wasn't hardly gone enough in half day kindergarten for me to really miss her. But I find myself missing her now that she is gone all day. This is my favorite picture of the day. She was so excited to be home. Emmy is a smart kid and she will do great!

Addy is feeling a little left out I think. It's hard to be the one stuck at home and she will be excited to go next year. She starts preschool in a week and that will be really good for her. I am excited to get to spend more time with her this year while the kids are at school.

Emmy's Meet the Teacher Night

Emmy chose Macayo's again for her dinner before we went to meet the teacher. Her new teacher is Mrs. Ludwig. Emmy seemed a little overwhelmed by all the people, and the new school and everything but I am sure after a few days she will be great!

Her teacher seemed like she would be lots of fun. After we met her we went and did a little shoe shopping and bought her some new tennis shoes and then she wanted to go to Sonic for a milkshake for dessert. It was a fun night. Emmy is such a sweet girl and she will be great in 1st grade.

TJ's Meet the Teacher Night

Friday night was TJ's meet the teacher night. His teacher is Mrs. Baars. She seemed really nice and even made the spiderman sign with him so she must be pretty cool. After we met his teacher, he got to choose where we went to dinner. He picked IHOP. Then we went and did a little school clothes shopping where we found the perfect shoes - black and YELLOW. Then we went and got ice cream. It is always fun to get to hang out with one of the kids individually. TJ is so ready for school. He is a very smart kid and will do great at school.

Gymnastics Class

Emmy, TJ and Addy all took a gymnastics class over the summer. They finished last Thursday. It was fun for them to all get to take the class together and they did a great job. Here they are with their teacher, Miss Jenny.
