Best Weekend of My Life, Seriously....

Jamie and I had an amazing weekend. We flew up to Utah Friday morning. We ate lunch at the Nauvoo Cafe, did a session in the Salt Lake Temple, walked around temple square and saw more tulips than I've seen my whole life, met Thomas and Kathy for dinner at the Garden Restaurant on the 10th floor of the Joseph Smith Building, saw the Mormon Tabernacle Choir perform Handel's Messiah in its entirety for the first time ever, met President Uchtdorf, toured the Beehive House, watched Jamie bare his testimony to a non-member mother and daughter, ate rolls from the Lion House, went to the Church History Museum, drove up to Bridal Veil Falls and Vivian Park, went to the Sacred Gifts exhibit at the Museum of Art at BYU and saw the Carl Block, Heinrich Hoffman and Frans Schwartz exhibit, saw the Provo Temple and Provo Tabernacle and just enjoyed being together without the kids. It was an amazing weekend with the man that I love and I will cherish the experiences I had with him while there for the rest of my life.

Early Easter

Jamie and I had a trip planned over Easter. So we decorated eggs with the kids on Thursday and the Easter Bunny came Friday morning.
Rook wasn't too thrilled about decorating eggs, until he learned you could throw them.

Lunch with an old friend

Christine is down to the last 4 weeks or so until she will have her baby. I missed her baby shower so we decided to meet in Globe and have lunch. Christine is one of those friends, who it doesn't matter how long it's been, we can pick up like we have talked every day for the last year. She is an amazing example to me and she is going to make a wonderful mother. I am excited for her and her beautiful baby boy that is soon to come into this world.
My gift to her...
And her gift to me. I definitely got the better end of the deal. Christine makes the best chocolate chip cookies. EVER!!!
Love ya Christine! Thanks for the fun lunch. You are going to be an awesome mom!!!

Easter Pageant

We decided we had better go early to the Easter pageant so we got there about 2 hours before it started. Which gave us plenty of time to walk around and meet new people.
Like Judas Iscariot,
A Roman soldier
or two,
One of the 10 virgins,
 or two.
The Easter pageant is always amazing. We got to sit pretty close this year and that was really fun. It is fun that the kids are starting to understand the story, and ask real questions and be interested. I am so grateful to have a Savior who was willing to die for me.

Stuffington Bear Factory

I got to go with TJ on his field trip on the 10th. Stuffington is always a good time.
The 2 girls closest to him are Sydney and Madison - both of them think he's pretty neat stuff.
It was a fun day with this handsome boy. Thanks bud for letting me come with you. I love you.
