Boys Trip

For their boys trip this year, my brothers and some of their sons and my dad kayaked down the Colorado river. Jamie couldn't go, but my dad took TJ with him. I think he had a lot of fun.

Horton Creek

Over the last couple of weeks we have made two trips to Horton Creek to pick up Raylee and Ryder to come stay with us and then to drop them back off. It was nice to get out of the heat and enjoy some fun in the water with our cousins.

Turtles

Emmy asked for a turtle for Christmas but she ended up getting her phone instead. Then Addy decided she wanted a turtle. So she bought herself a turtle. After about a week and a half we decided it needed a friend so we got another one. They have been fun and the kids have especially enjoyed swimming with Nacho and Squirt.

Sister Shahan's House

After Sister Shahan died, her family sold her house. They are getting ready to take it down so they can develop the land. So I went and took a few pics of it. I'm not sure what year it was built but Sister Shahan was born in it. So it was at least 100 years old. I can't count the number of times I sat in it and visited with her. I love her and miss her and it will be hard to watch them demolish it.

Wind Cave

While Raylee and Ryder were here we tried to hike to wind cave. We got about half way up when we heard there was a bee attack on the top and they were shutting it down. So we didn't make it all the way up but we made a good start.
Here is our social distancing picture.

42

Having a birthday in the middle of a covid-19 quarantines is crazy. But there were so many good things about this day that I want to remember. I want to remember Addy working and planning for weeks to make me my cupcake bouquet and decorating for me.
I want to remember Emmy making me my cookie cake and leaving me cookie dough to eat.
I want to remember the sweet book Evie and Rook made me and Rook giving me $5.
I want to remember Jamie planning and ordering me a new camera and trying to make the day fun even in the middle of a quarantine. Gecko grill at the civic center picnic table wasn’t half bad.

I want to remember sweet friends who dropped my favorite drinks and food and flowers.
It was a good day!

Covid 19

Covid has hit in full force. The kids went on Spring Break and never went back this year. Online schooling is a joke. It feels like the world has gone crazy. Everything is closed. If you go anywhere, you must wear a mask and stay 6 feet apart. Most restaurants are closed or are order out only. They are sending a lot of the missionaries home, especially those in foreign countries. People are hording supplies, so toilet paper has become a commodity. Life is really strange and crazy right now.

The kids teachers did a drive by parade where the teachers drove through the neighborhoods so the kids could see them.
Date night became ordering food and eating in the car.
