O Christmas Tree...

Our neighbors put up their Christmas tree really early this year so our kids started asking if we could put up ours. The Sunday before Thanksgiving we put it up. It seemed really early, but it was nice to come home from Thanksgiving in the mountains and already have it done.
Working hard to get it decorated.
Emmy was very excited to get to put the star on top.

3 Weeks

Evie is 3 weeks old today.  She had her two week check up on Tuesday. At 2 days old, the doctor was worried about a couple of things. She had lost more weight than he wanted her to. She had gone from 7 lbs 12 oz to 6 lbs 14 oz and he thought she might have fractured her clavicle on the way here. Well she was up to 8 lbs so he was happy about that, and she definitely has a broken clavicle, which I guess is the most common injury to babies during childbirth. But she is a really good baby and we are enjoying her.

What's in a name?

I was talking to Emmy the other day about the spelling of the kids' names and I told her that all of our girls have 2 of the same letter in their name. I asked her which letter was the same in her name and she said "M." I said, "What about Addy's?" And she said "D." I said, "What about Evie?" She said "E." And then Jamie said, "And T.J. has 2 in his name. What is it?" It took me a second to realize he was talking about the g's in Taggart and I wondered if there was any way Emmy would figure it out. She made us both laugh when she said, "dot, dot."

Evie

Evie showed up Sunday the 6th at 5:56 pm. She weighed in at 7 lbs 12 oz and was 20 inches long. She has really red hair. The kids already love her so much. Emmy calls her "little lamb." I have no idea where she got that from but she wants to hold her all the time. Her face is really swollen here. She has already changed a lot.

Brotherly Love

TJ and Addy were playing the other day when Addy started screaming. She immediately had a black eye. I asked TJ what he did and he said he hit her with a train. When I asked him why he said, "I wanted her to stop climbing on me."

Happy Halloween!!!
