After we left New York, we stopped at the Aaronic Priesthood Restoration Sight on the way to Palmyra. The Hale Homestead is there along with the cemetery that Emma's parents are buried in. We went on a tour of the house and got to try and lift a box with some replica plates in it. It was much heavier than we anticipated. As I went there, I had an increased love for Emma and everything she sacrificed to help Joseph restore in the gospel.
They have a really cool visitors center there. Where the kids got to write how they felt.
And then we went down by the Susquehanna River. It was so beautiful and absolutely peaceful.
