5 weeks, 3 days, and counting...

I went to the doctor today for a checkup. She wanted me to do a sonogram. From the sonogram, we learned that Evie is in the 55th percentile for her weight, which is currently about 5 1/2 pounds, she has a lot of hair, if she makes it to full term she will weigh approximately 8 lbs and 3 ounces (give or take a pound :)
And is it just me or does she have really, really, full lips??
One way or the other though, we can't wait to meet her in person!

Standin on a Corner...

Me and Jamie have been wanting to get away since our anniversary and we definitely wanted to do it before the baby came. We finally got the chance this week. Wyatt and Dawn blessed their baby on Sunday in Taylor so we went to that and then we left our kids with my parents for a couple of days. Jamie's parents let us stay in their cabin and we just took it easy for a couple of days. We drove into Strawberry one day, stopped at antique stores, went to Payson and ate at Macky's, and just hung out. Then on our way home we stopped in Winslow to "stand on the corner." It was so nice to just get away with Jamie for a couple of days. We had a great time "takin' it easy."

I'm Going There Someday

Sunday afternoon we decided it would be fun to go for a drive and see how the new temple was coming along.

Learning New Things

I have wondered for quite awhile if my cricut machine would cut material. I finally found someone on the web who told how to do it, so I gave it a try. I made new pillow cases for Emmy and Addy and a receiving blanket for our friends who just had a new baby.

The big 4-0

Jamie turned 40 yesterday. After the surprise party last week, we kept it pretty low key yesterday. We went and ate at Joe's and I made him his favorite German Chocolate Cake from scratch. This is Emmy helping me make his cake. This was the first time she has ever gotten to use the mixer by herself and she was pretty pumped about it.
Happy Birthday hun. We love you!

Suprise Party

Last Friday I had a suprise 40th birthday party for Jamie. Here is the invitation I sent out.
I think he was actually suprised and I thought everything went good. We had quite a few people here and I thought everyone acted like they had a good time. The only problem is that things were so crazy, I didn't take any pictures of the actual party. I was so bummed when I realized it. So instead, here are lots of pictures of the decorations.

Labor Day

We had a fun labor day party at Jamie's sister's house. Emmy loved their pool!! And Jamie had a great start to his 40th birthday!!!

Update on Kids

I have been slacking off on blogging a little lately. It seems like I never have time to keep up with everything I want to do. At the beginning of the summer we went to Walmart and Emmy saw an Ariel swimming suit that she really wanted. Her dad told her she could do chores and save the money and buy it for herself. She finally almost had enough money. So she got to go buy it. She LOVES it.
T.J. just continues to be all boy. It amazes me how different they are even from such a young age. A couple of weeks ago he decided it would be fun to stick this little ball in his ear.

Here it is in his ear. If you can't see it, that's how far it was in there.
This is Jamie trying to get it out.
We have had a rough couple of months with Addy. I started trying to potty train the beginning of July. It took her a few days, but she got the peeing thing down pretty good except for at night or when she takes her naps. Which I'm sure is completely normal, but about the same time she decided she was old enough to start climbing out of her crib. Almost every night when I go to bed I have to put her back in hers. She will be asleep on T.J.'s floor or asleep on her floor right next to her bed. So I will put her back in bed, and by morning she is asleep on the floor again. So I have resorted back to pull-ups to keep her from continually peeing on our carpet, which goes against every fiber in my body. So maybe I am supposed to be learning humility from this.
She is also a very girly girl. She would much rather wear a skirt than pants and she always wants to have a hair bob in her hair. I love her to death!
