Dragons

While Jamie and Emmy were gone, me and T.J. and Addy had our date. I had let T.J. pick out a movie to rent and so we went to McDonald's and got happy meals and then came home and he put on his new spongebob jammies that I had happened to find on clearance that day and then watched part of his movie. He had picked How to Train Your Dragon. The part that we watched was really cute but about half way through T.J. said, "I'm really tired." And I asked him if he was ready for bed and he said yes. But we had a fun night.

Daddy-Daughter Date

Last night was the town's Daddy-Daughter dance and Jamie took Emmy again. They acted like they had lots of fun. Here she is getting ready. She told me as we were walking up to do her hair that, "Dad wants me to look pretty before we go."
And here she is before they left. Every time I tried to take a picture of her she would hold her dress up like this and try and curtsie. She kept holding up the sides of her dress and telling me that this is how a princess walks.
And here are some pictures of the dance. They got to eat pizza, cupcakes and capri suns. They danced, made fun crafts, and got corsages. Last year the flowers on their corsages were real. This year they were kind of cool because they had wrist bands and the flowers just clipped on them so they could take them off when they got home and wear them as hairbobs. I thought it was such a cute idea.
Last year we had to wait for their pictures but this year they gave them to them on the spot.

Zoolander

Me and Jamie had talked about taking the kids to the zoo Friday morning, but it was supposed to be 80 degrees today and about 65 with a chance of rain on Friday. So I decided to brave it alone. We had a good time and I must have worn them out because all 3 of them came home and took a 3 hour nap. Yes all at the same time. I think that is what they call heaven on earth:)
Emmy has a wonderful imagination. She is always making up stories and talking to her toys. There is a little people farm that has a whole bunch of toys on it for the kids to play with and I didn't hear the whole conversation but she was kneeling in front of the farmer and I heard her ask him if he worked there.

White Rainbow

I was getting ready the other morning and T.J. and Emmy both came running in all excited and told me there was a rainbow and I had to come and see it. I knew it was pretty sunny outside, so I couldn't figure out what they were talking about. So as we are walking back to T.J.'s room, so they can show me the rainbow, they start telling me it is a white rainbow. This is what they had to show me.

Happy Valentine's Day!!!

We had a good Valentine's day. I got these Valentine's cards for the kids to give out and they turned out really cute.
We started the day by giving the kids their valentines. We saw these balloons at the dollar store and had to get them for the kids. They loved them.
Then my mom called. I was feeling pretty clever because I had hid her a basketfull of stuff for Valentine's day at her house the last time I was there. But she had done the same thing at my house the last time she was here and I hadn't found it. So that was a fun surprise.
Me and Jamie went out last Saturday to celebrate. We went to our favorite salad/pizza place and just enjoyed a relaxing night together.

Fun Times

Last week we took the kids to the park to play. They had fun.
Then Monday we celebrated Nana's birthday by going to San Tan Flat. It was the first time we had been there and it was fun. It has an old west theme to it and you can build a fire and sit around it to eat and then you can cook smores. I didn't take very many pictures, but here is a cute one of Emmy.
Then Tuesday I took the kids to the park to eat lunch, feed the ducks, and play on the toys.
This is what I got when I told them to look at me and say cheese. They didn't talk about it or anything. They just all looked at the ground at the same time.
