Tough Break

While we were in Taylor on Saturday, Jamie and I went on a date for Valentine's Day. We went to eat at Darbi's and then walked up the rim trail. It was a beautiful day and I enjoyed just getting to hang out with him. There are so many qualities that he possesses that I wish I had: a testimony with an incredible depth and a patience with me that I truly appreciate.

While we were gone, Papa took the kids horseriding and Addy got bucked off. By the time we got there, she wasn't crying and we couldn't tell if it was broken or not. By the next day, she was still babying it enough we decided to take her to urgent care and get it checked. She had a fractured distal radius. So we took her this morning to get it cast. She is pretty proud of her new cast.

Taylor

Kaidan got baptized on Friday and Shawn blessed Presley on Sunday so we went to Taylor for the weekend. The kids had tons of fun playing with their cousins and riding horses. As you can tell by the look on Rook's face, some of them had more fun than others.

We were worn out by the ride home.

Kids Club

I feel like I have been a lazy mom to my youngest two kids. I was much better at taking Emmy and TJ places than I am about taking Evie and Rook. So I decided I was going to take them to Kids Club the other day like I used to with Emmy and TJ. I felt like I was stepping back in time about 6 years. But Evie and Rook loved it. Evie won the door prize and as we were leaving, she asked me if we could come back.

The Duttons

Jamie's parents gave us tickets to go see the Duttons. We took the oldest 3 kids and had a great time.

Emmy's Baptism

Emmy had a beautiful baptism. She has been so excited to be baptized. The Sunday before her baptism she fasted for the first time. When I asked her what she fasted for she told me to know that she was making the right decision and that the speakers would do a good job. Her fast must have worked because Uncle Tommy and Aunt Shelly both spoke and they both did a great job. Both sets of her grandparents were there as well as most of her aunts and uncles.

This is Emmy with her birthday cake. This is about 5 seconds before her dad tried to help her tip it a little more and the bottom row went on to the floor:)

Uncle Tommy made her a case for her scriptures. It has her name stamped on the front and I am a child of God on the back. It is absolutely beautiful.

She got lots of fun gifts, including this watch from Nana and Poppy and new scriptures from Grammy and Papa.

We took a couple more pictures the next day before church.
