Meet the Teacher Night

Meet the teacher night was Tuesday. Rook was pretty nervous and wouldn't let me take a picture with him and Miss Elliott, but let me take a picture outside his room.
Kindergarten has a pizza my heart. That's exactly how I feel as I watch my last one begin school.
Evie has Miss Deschaples. This is her first year at Settler's Point but she seems really nice.
Addy has Mrs. Johnson, which is who TJ had last year.
TJ wouldn't let me take a picture of him with his teacher but he has Mr. Solomon for his homeroom and Mrs. Benedetti for ALP and ELA. Emmy has Mrs. Washington for homeroom, Mr. Savage for Math and Mrs. Bowers for ELA.
I can't believe they will all be in school and all at the same school. Part of me is excited to have some time to myself and part of me is just really sad that that part of my life is over already. I don't want to go back but I wish I could learn to enjoy the stage of life that I am in a little more.
We finished the night at Coldstone. It's going to be a great year!

Cutest date

Love this girl!

Scared to Death

You wouldn't know it from the pics but this is probably the most scared I've ever been. We met Wacey and Jenny at the top of the rim to go for a hike. We knew there was a chance of rain but the hike wasn't very long and we were hoping we could get up and back before it really started pouring. We got almost to our destination and the skies just unloaded. But what was worse than that, is the thunder literally sounded like it was right on top of us. I was so afraid we were going to get struck my lightning. Wacey and Jenny had Blake and so we took turns holding him and running back down the mountain. It was scary and crazy!!

Swim Season

The kids had an amazing swim season, filled with lots of ribbons and Marlin of the Week awards. Swim team championships were tonight. On our way over to the meet, Jamie reminded me that that two years ago we were at trek and we had to miss Addy winning her 3 events. Last year she was the youngest in her age group. As I thought about it, I had this feeling that she would win all 3. Heavenly Father blesses us when we are in His service and somehow I knew because we missed the last time she swept her events, we wouldn't miss this time. Addy walked away with 3 gold medals in the 25 freestyle, the 50 freestyle and the 100 IM. Not only did she beat all the girls in her age group, but I'm pretty sure she beat all the boys times her age as well in her two freestyle events. Freestyle is definitely her event. Evie came away with a silver in the 25 freestyle and a bronze in the backstroke and 4th in the 50 freestyle. Rook placed 14th in the 50 freestyle, 12th in the 25 freestyle, and 15th in the backstroke. They all did great!

Volleyball Championships

Emmy, TJ and Addy finished up their volleyball season last Saturday. Emmy and TJ were on the same team and Addy played on the team younger than them. Both teams had the same coach, Coach Paige. She was really good with them. Both of their teams went undefeated during the regular season. Addy's team won their first game so they played for championship. They didn't play that well and ended up losing their final game but Addy learned a lot through the course of the season. Emmy and TJ won both of their games and ended up champions. Coach Paige made them these cute cookies that look like volleyballs.
Emmy and TJ had 5 kids from our ward on their team.

Addy's 9!!!

Addy started the day opening her presents. She got a new bike and some little drones. Then she had swim team practice. We had a pretty relaxed day making Addy's cake and swimming. Then Nana and Poppy came to see her and brought her a present. After that Shawn and Lindsay's family came over to have dinner with us and then we all went to Fat Cats to go bowling. We had lots of fun. And then we came home for cake and ice cream.
